This document provides an overview of the anatomy of the anterior chamber of the eye, including its structures and clinical correlations. On the basis of these merits, the ACE technology has evolved from the prototypical 49 through the conventional to the advanced version. It can be used to model human dis- eases with human cells, tissues, and organs engrafted in immunodeficient mouse recipients. Hyphema, anterior uveitis and glaucoma are three main pathologies in this area.
